Is 'The Pusher's' Name included in a Victim's List ?

? In an interesting development into the various Canal Killings in Manchester one victim made a list and The Pusher's name could be upon it !:

The list is being kept top secret at the moment...no one knows why?

'It has emerged a man whose body was pulled from a city centre river left a note warning: “If you find me dead, look for these people.”

Michael Turner, 42, went missing from his home in July 2012. His body was found in ankle-deep water on a Manchester river weir eight days later.

It was in the water so long Michael could only be identified by his fingerprints.

Last week we exclusively revealed how scores of people have died mysteriously in the city’s canals and rivers since 2008.

Like many of them, Michael’s death was recorded as not suspicious. But now his sister has cast doubt on the verdict by revealing he left a distressing letter before he was found in the River Irk.
She fears the Manchester City fan was murdered and has accused detectives of brushing his case under the carpet. ...

“There was a collection of notes but one chilled us to the bone. It said on it ‘If you find me dead, look for these people’.
“There were names underneath but police never did anything about it.”

Asda worker Sue said Michael had just bought a new bike and was riding it when he disappeared.

She went on: “When his body was found he was only wearing tracksuit bottoms and one trainer. He left the house with a T-shirt and jacket on. And his bike had gone, never to be found.
“He was found in a spot which was so hard to get to it needed firemen to pull him out.
“He clearly did not fall in as he had no bumps or bruises.
“And if he was going to kill himself why was his body found in such a shallow spot – a spot which police confirmed was very close to where he had entered the water?
“You’re telling me his death wasn’t suspicious? I don’t buy that for one second. It just doesn’t add up.”...

A Baptism of Terror

'A chill wind rushes down Manchester’s Canal Street, rippling the green slime on the surface of the water. Strings of fairy lights, remnants of the festive season, clatter in the trees as a lone pedestrian turns up the collar of his winter coat.

Overhead, the light is fading. Below, in the murky water, bubbles rise and burst amid a sludge littered with debris from nights gone by: takeaway boxes, empty beer cans, condom wrappers, needles. The walkway is dotted with tunnels, low-hanging and cobwebbed, where shadows lurk beyond the reach of street lights and the air is heavy with the stench of decay.

If the whispers that have surfaced this week are to be believed, this is not a place to be after dark. A serial killer – nicknamed “The Pusher” – is said to stalk these parts....'

' ...experts are divided over Prof Jackson’s claims about the Manchester deaths. “Sixty-one deaths is a staggeringly high number to simply put down to chance,” says Prof David Wilson, a criminologist at Birmingham University. “The police hate the suggestion that there may be a serial killer – they look wrong-footed, or slow to act.”
Meanwhile, Prof David Canter, a renowned psychologist who developed the science of investigative psychology from offender profiling, says the suggestion is “rather irresponsible” without further evidence about exactly where the bodies were found and likely causes of death. “This is a very large area near places where lots of people get drunk. A more helpful comment would be to question the safety of canals at night.”
Whatever the truth behind the deaths, rumours about The Pusher abound online and whispers echo up and down the waterway. As darkness falls on Canal Street, two police officers start their patrol, and lingering pedestrians quicken their pace towards home. Though it may have the makings of fiction, what happened here is all too real for the grieving relatives of those who have died; many of them still waiting for answers to bubble up from the shadowy depths of the canal.
“Don’t fall in,” warns a passer-by, as I lean over the black water for a closer look. I jump, steady my footing and turn around – but he’s gone.'

Canal Street Death, October 2013, Manchester UK

The game is afoot, is it not?
It is no good trying to tell us to keep it hush.

A quick look back at a documented death in the canal at Canal Street, Gay Village Manchester.

'...Witnesses said they saw the body in the water within a bag – but police said they believed the body was not sealed inside a bag but may have had one floating on top of it or become tangled in it.

Bob Ramsbottom, 56, landlord of the New Union pub on Canal Street said: “We were upstairs on Friday night at around 10.30pm when we heard a very big splash.

“I looked out of the window – we saw someone walking away over the bridge. In nine years, there has been quite a few bodies found in this canal.”

William Johnston, 22, a customer at GAY, said: “We looked out into the canal when the police arrived and saw a black bag floating. You could only see one end of it but then the police prodded it with a stick and it turned around and you could see it was shaped like a body. We saw the divers go in and drag the bag along the canal and take it out.”

James Lemons, 31, said: “We looked into the canal and it was like you could see hair floating in the water out of the top of the bag but you couldn’t see what was attached to it.”
Lewis Knight, a student at the Royal Northern College of Music, said: “I have only been here two weeks and on my first walk out this is what I’ve seen. It is shocking to say the least.”

Another witness said they saw people on a canal boat stop at the lock and then peer into the water. It is believed the people on the boat called the police and were later seen being interviewed by officers.
Police confirmed a body had been found but said it was too early to say how long it had been in the water or how the person came by their death.

A spokeswoman said: “Just before 3.40pm on Sunday police were called to Canal Street near Union Street in Manchester city centre, to reports that there was a body believed to be in the water.
“Officers and underwater search teams located and
recovered the body from the water.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the individual and establish if there are any suspicious circumstances.”
Police confirmed a body had been found but said it was too soon to say how long the body had been in the water or how the person came by their death. ..'

February 2011 - Trainee sports teacher Nathan Tomlinson, from Brinnington, Stockport, was found in the River Irwell having last been spotted shortly after leaving a Christmas party eight weeks previously.
Stockport coroner John Pollard recorded an open verdict but said police had been slow to investigate his disappearance and that ‘fundamental work’ - including checking CCTV footage was not carried out.
Mum Nina Tomlinson said an officer told her her son was ‘probably snuggled up to a nice young woman’ when she reported him missing on December 19 and has said she wants police to look again at the case.

January 2012 - Student Gurdeep Hayer, 20, from the West Midlands, was found dead in the River Medlock, after visiting Manchester to celebrate the New Year.
A post-mortem proved inconclusive and police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

July 2012 - Michael Turner, 43, was found dead in the River Irk on July 28 having last been spotted on CCTV eight days earlier.
His death was classed as non-suspicious but his family have insisted he wouldn’t have killed himself.
July 2012 - Chris Brahney, 22, from Timperley, who was found dead in the Manchester Ship Canal ten days after going missing from a Stone Roses concert in Heaton Park in June 2012.
He had become separated from his friends following the gig, sparking a massive manhunt across the region.
At an inquest into Chris’s death, deputy coroner Joanne Kearsley recorded an open verdict and admitted she simply couldn’t say how he had ended up in the water.

January 2013 - Student Souvik Pal, 18, originally from India was found dead in the Bridgewater Canal three weeks after he had been ejected from a New Year’s Eve party at the Warehouse Project dance night in Trafford Park.
He was seen walking away from the venue with a mystery man. CCTV footage showed two men then crossing a canal bridge before one tried to climb up a railing. The CCTV only shows one coming back but neither of the figures has ever been identified.
Coroner Joanne Kearsley said: “Despite extensive investigation it can not be ascertained where or how he entered the water.”

Beware of The Pusher killings, Death-Trap Manchester UK

For want of a personification and name for the killer gangs and mugger afflicting grimy Manchester.
An evil menace lurks hidden in the city?

‘I work in Birmingham where there are more canals than Venice. You very rarely hear of bodies of young men being washed up in the city’s water ways.
‘To have so many in Manchester is a big concern and there is every chance foul play is at hand here.’
In 27 of the 61 cases, the bodies had been so damaged by the water that police were unable to even identify their biological sex. ..'

'If five murders is the current record of homophobic deaths, even 10 percent of the 61 would be an abominable record.’

Police inspector Phil Spurgeon said, ‘The reality is when you have a busy city, a vibrant night-time economy, you’ve 500 licensed premises in 2.2 square miles, you put a big canal system through the middle of that and you are going to end up with fatalities, which is dreadful.’

As well as 61 bodies discovered in Manchester’s canals, over 20 more have been found in local rivers....'

'Local bartender Stephen Faulkner told The Independent that #thepusher may actually be an opportunistic street robber: ‘You get people who’ve been drinking and if someone wants their wallet, they’ll get pushed in. I do believe people are being pushed in to the water.’

Worrying patterns

Suki Deen, a research scientist who has looked at the case, said, ‘There are worrying patterns with regard to the age groups, how the bodies are disposed of and what the missing men had been doing.
‘Those listed as committing suicide had picked things up earlier the same day, like shoes or money or had bought meals to eat when they got home – strange behaviour if you are planning to kill yourself.’

'From August 2010 to August 2011, 18 fatalities occurred in Manchester’s waterways – comprising a third of the 59 incidents recorded nationwide.
Prof Jackson went on: ‘The police say none of the 61 corpses found got there under suspicious circumstances. Not one? I find that very hard to believe.
‘The other odd fact here is that the majority of the bodies have not been identified or even given a gender on official police records.
‘Were the corpses so decomposed as to be unidentifiable? Again, I find that inconceivable and a pathologist would tell you the same.’...

'And in May 2013, Martin-Smith publically declared that he would not consider paying a late night levy on the nightspot, proposed by the Council to tackle trouble hotspots that stayed open after midnight, because he already paid £3k a month in council tax and hardly ever saw any police around the Canal Street area.

'The move by the Council was a reaction to escalating crime figures in the area. In 2012, the Village had 1,316 individual police call-outs, compared with 675 at the Printworks and 527 on Deansgate Locks.

The Village remains the highest ranked out of 67 North Manchester districts for instances of theft and assault. Twice as high as the second ranking district of Arndale and King Street.
Given the built-in attractiveness of the area - no other city centre district has that sweep of waterside terraces with a park over the road - this is troubling and hard-to-explain except with reference to the direction many of the establishments have chosen to take. What it leads to though is lack of confidence.
A prominent city-centre bar owner who wished to remain unnamed told us they’d never consider occupying the now empty space at Queer: “Rents are too high and it’s not worth the trouble. The Village has got too many problems at the moment. It’s as simple as that.”

The Manchester deaths compare with just 32 accidental or natural deaths and seven suspected suicides in canals and aqueducts across the whole of Britain in 2013, according to figures compiled by the National Water Safety Forum...'

'Some have put the number of deaths, at least in the city centre, down to the renovation of the canalside areas which brought bars and clubs close to the water's edge.

"There is a pattern in the city centre with people drinking too much and then falling in the canal," police Chief Constable Peter Fahy warned in 2012.

The local authority intends to fence off part of the canal known as the Undercroft at night, following a spate of deaths and violent robberies...'

I was nearly push in by a gang of lads in the canal in ancoats.just being in touch with the police,but didnt seem intrested in what happen to me....as they all they can do is put it down as assult.....but this was in the day time and was with a m8.and i do think if i would of being on my own and was unable to swim I could of drown,they did look like the sort that would dive in to save me,
